Practical skills and techniques for analyses with Abaqus/Explicit
Course objective
This course is addressed to engineers with experience in Abaqus. The course language is German, optionally English.
In this course you will learn practical skills and best practices for performing dynamic and quasi-static analyzes with Abaqus/Explicit.
The course covers the following topics:
- Use the explicit dynamics method effectively, including the application of general contact, mass scaling,
- and adaptive remeshing
- Use Abaqus/Explicit and Abaqus/Standard together to solve difficult problems, including results transfer and co-simulation
- Model high-strain-rate deformation and failure
- Automatic mass scaling for impact problems and for quasi-static problems
- Managing large models
The course is divided into lectures, demonstrations and workshops.

Cancellation Policy
We reserve the right to cancel seminars or to limit class size based upon demand. In such cases refunds of prepaid seminar fees will be made in full. Nevertheless, we will make every effort to fulfill all scheduled training.
To help prevent class cancellation, please be sure to register at least two weeks in advance.
If a subscriber cancels a seminar reservation more than five working days before the seminar, 80% of the fee will be refunded. No refund will be given for cancellations made less than five working days before a seminar or in case of non-appearance.
